Can you be asked to step down from a higher position in your job due to medical reasons?
I am on FMLA due to anixiety that my job has caused, so I was granted intermittent leave by my doctor. My job may ask me to step down due to absenteeism which has been caused by the anxiety.
Does my job have any ground to ask this of me based on this, currently I reside in Phoenix, AZ. I have been with company for over 4 years and just recently been leaving early or calling out due to panick attacks.
If a demotion is all that happens, consider yourself fortunate.
