The Simple Golf Swing Guide - is it a scam?

If you're an amateur golfer who is hip to the internet, you may have heard about David Nevogt's Simple Golf Swing which claims you can drop 7 strokes in 2 weeks. It also claims it can help nearly any golfer break 80.

When you see the claims at first glance, you are probably pretty skeptical. That's fine.. who wouldn't be? Golf is not an easy game to play and certainly not easy to master. I personally know players that have played for 10 or more years and haven't improved. That is not because they aren't skilled enough, it's because they are simply do not know how to get better.

Some people will pay $100 an hour for a personal instructor. That's fine, but that doesn't always help. Most golf coaches are great at golf, and are only a few strokes from being able to compete professionally. These are the type of people that are naturally gifted and "built" for golf. They have a habit of teaching you to golf the way they do, their stroke, their grip, their foot placement. The problem with that is their system is tailored for them. Each person is different, and each person needs to approach their swing different.

Simple Golf Guide manages to back up it's claim not by molding you into the next Tiger or Phil, but by allowing you to perfect a swing that feels right to you. Instead of mimicking professionals, it teaches thru the often over looked basics: posture, club grip, club face position, etc. Get the basics down, then your consistent, accurate, and flowing swing will come.

While the guide boasts impressive claims - cutting 5 or more strokes off your card, scoring 80 or lower, they are very realistic. Once people shake their state of mind that the pro's swing should be your swing, results will flow. Once you learn to perfect YOUR swing, you will see substantially better scores. I think this guide is well worth the small pricetag because it approaches your game with a personal touch. You'll make minor changes but see drastic improvements.

One person who bought the product said: "Others should try this swing because it is not a huge departure from the traditional swing that they have been taught. If you use a traditional swing, you will pick up the simple swing very fast. If you are worried that you might not like the simple swing, you will have no trouble going back to the traditional swing."

This guide is certainly the best bang-for-your-buck that I've seen. Simple Golf Swing is less than an hour lesson at my local fairway yet it comes with a nice bonus package.
