Is this a decent paintball set up for someone with 1-2 years of experience?
Marker- Tippmann 98 custom
Barrell-14" Smart Parts Linear
3000 PSI HPA tank
Tippmann hopper
and i use Hemmorage paint
i was just wondering if this was an ok set up for someone with a couple years of experience, or if i should upgrade
Are you comfortable with that setup? the decision to upgrade is based on YOUR feelings. do you feel you need more air? faster hopper? better accuracy? want to try something newer?
If you're playing woodsball, that seems like a pretty good setup, only thing i would change would be the barrel, I would upgrade to a freak kit.
If this is for speedball, this is typically a bad setup (since it's heavy and rather slow), but I've seen people play speedball with similar setups and they did really well, but they're experienced players.
There are many upgrades available for the 98 custom to suit whatever your needs (i.e., drop forwards, response trigger, e-grip, barrel kits, etc), but if this is for speedball, i suggest you upgrade to something newer, lighter, faster. I usually recommend ions and proto matrix rails as good guns for both speedball AND woodsball.
