wrist problems and fatiguee in golf?
i have a really stong swing i can hit 120 yards with just a 56 degree sand wedge. i have been noticing some wrist pain sometimes wen i dont get a good stretch...im only 16 and im scared this might affect me in the future...any help? i also notice i play best wen im actually playing on the course or during a tournament but when im at the range i start off great but then later suk. whats up with that?. and any way i can improve my putting big time? i can go from a eagle chance down 2 a double bogey...need help 2 improve my game...and also need to know if i can somehow get my irons shaft longer than it is now...im getting too tall now
If you are swinging fast enough to hit your SW that far, you are going to get tired faster and injure your wrist. You need to focus more on tempo than speed. If you notice the pain more when you dont stretch, then stretch every time, this is very important for your body, especially at your age as you are still growing. You are hitting worse on the range then you do on the course, because you are swinging more often with less time between swings.
Since you are still growing, I wouldnt worry about getting fitted just yet, stay with standard for a couple more years. When you do get fitted, you may not need adjustment at all ince your arms will grow as well as your overall height, plus remember that when you add length to the club, you typically sacrifice accuracy.
The previous poster was incorrect when they stated that you would need new clubs, they can add extensions in under the grip to lengthen your clubs so all you would need are new grips or if you dont want the extensions, you can get your clubs reshafted.
As far as your putting, the only thing that will help is lessons and practice, new equipment will not save you.You should be spending as much time on the practice green as you do on the range.
