how long does it take for a swing change to stick and should I change my swing?
I am thinking about changing my swing but I have a golf tournament in late September. Also, I am a 6 handicap player but I cannot control my shots as well as at the beginning of the year in which I was a scratch golfer. Need opinions.
Depends on how often you practice, and if you're having someone else (hopefully a teacher) or video to capture what you're doing, which you can refer to to make sure you're doing what you set out to accomplish.
You have to make certain you're doing what you want to get done, and have the confidence to take it to the course and stick with it. There's a chance you could lose distance, or more accuracy, or who knows what while you're going through the revamping phase. You need to trust what you're doing and fight through it. If you give up, you'll be back to square one.
