Golf swing inconsistency really pis*ing me off!!"?

Over the last couple of months I've felt that my game was improving and going in the right direction, putting in good range sessions and taking it to the course and scoring well, feeling confident over every shot and playing my best stuff in 3 years, I had a range session yesterday and the way I was hitting the ball was as if I've never picked up a golf club before even though I felt I was doing everything right, I was slicing an awful lot of shots right(what I used to do when I started playing 3 yrs ago). I now have no confidence to go out and play a round and was absolutely gutted yesterday. This is a tough 1 I know but how do I get some consistency in my game? should I have some drills to work on to improve my consistency or do I just accept that that's the way it is? I somtimes feel I can go out and score mid 80's and equally turn up and score 100+.
HELP!!!!!!!

first things first, slow down here! you could have just had a bad day. it happens 2 the best of 'em! try going out on the 9 hole on a quiet day, and if you duff a few shots- who cares!!
if u want a routine to think through before you playremember this...

P-posture
this is what i hav been taught by my pro, and you can remember it as...

A-all
G-golfers
B-buy
A-a
P-putter

take time to check this before you take a shot and i think u'll find it a gr8 improvemnt 2 ur game!
