How do you hit a golf ball with a Nautilus dual-hinge club without breaking it?
So I bought a nautilus because it looked like a really great way to improve my swing and give instant feedback. However, I'm completely confused about how to actually hit the ball without "breaking" it. I'm fine all the way through the backswing and the approach, but every time I make physical contact with the ball, the club breaks and the ball just..rolls. Looking at the design, I don't understand how it wouldn't break- it breaks whenever the club is in an open striking position. Anyone with a nautilus, how to you hit the ball!!!???
PLEASE READ ALL because I will answer your question. Ok, I have a Medicus (same thing) and the trick is to turn the TOE of the club face toward the sky. Also, when you start your backswing, do it slowly and then begin to trun it to the sky. Sudden movements are usually what causes it to break, so at the top of your backswing, don't "whip" it down because it will break then too. It shouldn't break when you hit the ball because its designed not to. It is probably breaking somewhere right before you hit the ball and you just don't feel it. Take a couple swings without hitting the ball and see if it breaks anywhere before you would be making contact.
So remember- Slow backswing
