Golf Beginner Instructions
Anybody here watch the "Golf Fix" on Monday nights on the Golf Channel?

I wonder how much anyone gets out of this show. The guy doesn't have a lot of time it seems and his answers to emails don't seem thorough. You'd have to Tivo the show and watch it a number of times to get an understanding of what he's trying to show you. I've watched it a few times and last night's show where he talked about the proper set up was the most informative his instruction has been. I'm not saying no one couldn't get anything out of the show, but it's not a show for beginners IMO. What say you?

Probably not for beginners. Maybe I'm lucky, because I DVR it, so I can watch it as many times as necessary. Truthfully, I've DVR'd it ever since the beginning... my wife gives me crap for it, because that show alone takes up a lot of the memory.

The Fix has definitely helped me. From lengthening my right thumb on the grip (I'm a lefty) to the basic chipping motion (for years I was pitching, thinking I was chipping... yeah, I know). I like how at least 90% of the training aids are stuff you probably have laying around the house, so you don't really need to go out and spend a bunch of money on tools that may or may not work.

I watched his show last week, and noticed how he swung the club. He wasn't even talking about the full swing (I actually can't remember what it was now) but I noticed how his legs worked. I never really paid attention before, but something clicked in my head. I tried to copy it during practices in my backyard. This past Sunday, I went out and never had a better round when it comes to making clean contact- from the driver all the way down to the SW. It was like an epiphany.

But yeah, I definitely get where people are saying he's on speed or something. Makes me wonder what one-on-one sessions are like. His students are probably so amped they bend 3 irons with their teeth or something.
