Hank Haney PlaneFinder-Left Hand $99.98 Hank Haney PlaneFinder-Left Hand The Hank Haney PlaneFinder is for golfers who want to improve their swing. The concept of swinging the golf club on the proper plane was first articulated by Ben Hogan in his classic 1957 instructional book, in.Five Lessons: The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. in. Years later, legendary teacher Hank Haney has made swinging on plane the cornerstone of his work with Tour players and high handicappers alike. And now, along with inventor Rusty Pies, Haney has created the PlaneFinder, a unique and innovative device that provides immediate feedback if the club deviates from the proper plane on both the backswing and downswing. Tour players and golf instructors alike know that swinging on the proper plane is the key to effortless power, laser-like accuracy and, most of all, consistency. Golfers can improve all of those aspects in very short order as their swing plane improves. Not only can they use the PlaneFinder during practice sessions at the range but at home as well. And, the PlaneFinder works equally well with every club in the golfers bag, from lob wedge to driver. in.The beauty of the PlaneFinder is that you find out immediately what youre doing right and what youre doing wrong, in. said Hank Haney. in.And then by making subtle adjustments to the swing, every golfer can quickly discover their proper plane and how to remain on it. in. Theres a big difference between feel and real and the Plane Finder never lies. Its the next best thing to having a personal lesson with Hank Haney! The PlaneFinder is available in both a right-handed and left-handed model. The PlaneFinder is portable, lightweight, and can be used anywhere-the home, office or at the range and will groove and improve your swing right away. |

Looking to buy a dobsonian telescope?
I am looking at the orion skyquest line of telescopes. i am looking at the XT8 classic ($330) and the XT8i intelliscope ($530). as i read, they are the same telescope exept the computerized one has the computer and a better finder scope. is the computerized version worth the extra $200?
It really depends on your interests and your local observing conditions. If you are confronted with serious light pollution in your area, than you may need a computer to find just about anything. If you are going to be doing classroom demos, the computer occasionally helps on partly cloudy nights where you have little time to move from one target to the next. On the other hand, if you will be observing in clear, dark, skies with no long lines of students waiting to take a look, you may find more personal satisfaction in using the finder and the scope to really learn the night sky. I find that half the fun of the hobby is in knowing where to find various objects, and this is a skill that is rarely learned by those who use a computer GoTo or PushTo system.
I must also tell you that I have frequently set up my C-11 (equatorial mount, no computer but with a clock drive) at a star party and targeted several objects while the guy next to me is swearing and rebooting his computer. Those electronics always seem to stop working just when you need them most. Not sure why, but they always seem to need rebooting 30 minutes after sundown. I can set my watch by them. Then they buzz and hum and end up pointing to an object like M42 that I can see just by looking up.
My recommendation would be to take the $200 that you were considering for the computer and use it to buy more aperture or a premium eyepiece. Those will do just as much or more to help you find those dim fuzzy objects - and you will actually be able to see them!
